For my projects I’ve started scanning various parts like Alpina supercharger bracket, pistons, pulleys, engine piece, twin-screw supercharger, etc… For my fellow hobbists and DIY guys I’m letting available the scanned files for purchase. These are raw 3D scan file NOT 3D CAD file, however it’s possible to convert it to a CAD file if you have the proper resources and knowledge. But in this form you can make PRECISE measurement with a freely available software. You can find it HERE. It’s called GOM Inspect but probably you can find other softwares also on the market, but this one is a FREE version.

The grey parts are the scanned face. The blue/green are the backside of the scan faces.

- The part comes from an Alpina B7 (BMW E65.) Not confirmed yet the compatibility with B5. B5 and B7 superchargers and brackets have different connection patterns!!! The oil return flow port is missing on the part! Could be checked on the B5!
- This is a scanned Alpina B5 piston and a normal BMW N62B44 piston. This is a perfect opportunity to compare the 2 pistons and make any improvement.

- The front and top part is scanned from the engine without the water pump, cylinder head cover, and without the oil pan. This scan is perfect if you’d like to design an adapter plate, or would like to know the position of the pulleys and the supercharger.
